"I want to be a role model to my colleagues and give my team mates opportunities they can really benefit from."

I came to Bühler as an apprentice in information technology. After my apprenticeship, I wanted to gain more technical knowledge and decided to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. To further broaden my know-how, I then decided to add a Master’s degree in Business Informatics. I continued working at Bühler part-time during my entire studies. After graduating, I assumed more responsibilities for new processes and applications and was promoted to team leader.

What is your job about?

As a team leader, I am responsible for various applications and oversee processes regarding sales, quotation, project execution, procurement and logistics as well as trade affairs. We are currently rolling out our Core ERP system at one of our largest Bühler locations in Germany. I am coordinating this project and am responsible for its successful implementation.

Digitalization is a very important topic for Bühler and data quality is becoming ever more important in our day-to-day business. I therefore ensure that our systems contain valid data and run reliably.

What is leading a team like for you?

People are very important to me and a great work atmosphere is key to success in my opinion. I am also member of our internal talent board. We meet regularly with HR to talk about the talent in information technology we want to develop internally. I try to act as a role model for my team members and try to give them as many opportunities for their development as I was given at Bühler.

What do you do outside of work?

I am member of a band where I sing and play bass. I also love to travel and recently took a two-month trip to Mexico and the US. In addition, I am the president of a football club which enables co-workers and other interested people to play football together once a week.
